INTRODUCTION

No matter what the reason for your visit to Tranekær Castle, it will be a unique experience. The castle is steeped in history, set in spectacular surroundings and every visitor will encounter an unsurpassed level of service.

BUSINESS STAYS

When booking a business meeting, your group will enjoy exclusive use of the Castle. We only ever book one party at a time, and include accommodation in the main building in beautifully refurbished suites all with luxury ensuite bathrooms. After a productive and inspiring day with colleagues, fellow directors or clients, a delicious dinner awaits you, before heading off for the best night’s sleep in crisp white sheets.

LOCAL GASTRONOMY

Fine dining is a trademark of Tranekær, and something of which we are very proud. Every dish is prepared with the finest fresh local produce, and created by our chef Christian Pichardt, who conjures up anything from a three course game themed menu, to delicious lunch specialties for business meetings, or a classic stew for pheasant shoots.

Enjoy a variety of exquisite tasting dishes served with fine wines in the sumptuous living rooms of the castle, from where there are the most stunning views. The food at Tranekær is produced in harmony with the venue, surrounding land and sea.

If you wish to host a residential business meeting in an outstanding historical setting, with modern conference facilities such as AV, flipcharts, whiteboard and free Wi-Fi, then look no further than Tranekær Castle. A UNIQUE SHOOT

Join us for some magnificent pheasant shoots, where the birds fly high above the fields and forests of Tranekær throughout the entire season. The varied terrain is one of the first shooting districts in Denmark, and therefore one of the most established. Enjoy an exceptional shoot with accompanying luxurious catering and accommodation in the beautifully restored Castle suites.

THE COUNT AND COUNTESS AHLEFELDT-LAURVIG

Countess Mette Ahlefeldt-Laurvig, Count Christian Ahlefeldt-Laurvig and their six children have created an everyday life that is evident everywhere around Tranekær Castle. There is a hustle and bustle and the family has succeeded in turning the Castle into a discerning venue especially for companies and shooting parties. Everyone is received and greeted as guests of the Count and Countess, immediately making the visitors feel welcome and at home inside the English red walls.

MODERN ESTATE OPERATIONS

Tranekær Castle is a modern agricultural and forestry business of 1.733 hectares. The farm is operated using traditional methods with a good output of seeds and cereals, including barley, used for the beer production at Carlsberg. The forestry includes pine trees and greenery, especially geared to the Christmas tree season, and rearing of pheasants.

THE COUNTESS’S CHERRY WINE

Countess Mette Ahlefeldt-Laurvig grew up at Lerchenborg Castle, where she from a young age helped out in the cherry orchard, learning how to pick and sort berries. The cherry wine hails from an old and trusted family recipe, but to enhance the quality and consistency of the cherry wine, the production facilities at Tranekær are ultra modern.

Once the wine has matured in storage, the winemaker ensures that taste, colour and quality are consistent and flawless, before the wine is bottled. The wine is perfectly suited for the Christmas season or ideal with desserts. It is also a great hostess gift.

FREE PARKING AND HELIPAD

There is plenty of free and convenient parking at Tranekær Castle. If you arrive by helicopter it can land and be parked on our helipad, which is located within walking distance of the Castle. Please contact us if you wish to make use of the helipad or require any further information.
